MAGIC GIANT (S-Curve)
4/28/20

WHAT IT IS: Blending alt-rock and pop, L.A.-based band MAGIC GIANTS—consisting of Austin Bisnow, Zambricki Li and Zang—formed in 2014 after finding each another on social media. Since their debut 2017 release, In the Wind, the band quickly found their footing in the alternative touring world, sharing stages with Foster the People, The Lumineers, Vance Joy and Mumford & Sons, among others. More recently, they shared the screen with a variety of artists like Ashe, LP, Shaed and others on their three installments of the Live From Quarantine livestream series, raising nearly $100k for MusiCares and the Frontline Responders Fund. With their follow-up album set for release later this year, there’s no telling what to expect next from the dynamic trio.

Alfie Templeman (AWAL)
4/28/20

WHAT IT IS: Growing up in a family of musicians, multi-instrumentalist Aflie Templeman got his start in music early, picking up the guitar at just eight years old. Entirely self-taught, the now-17-year-old from Bedfordshire, U.K., concocts earworms reminiscent of a punk-inclined Rex Orange Country, with a sensibility akin to Declan McKenna. Paying homage to DIY heroes like Steve Lacey, Kevin Parker and Mac Demarco, Templeman continues to push the envelope with his self-produced yet mature style. His cheek innocence and overall musicality position him to become a true artists’ artist.
