BMM HITS THE WEST COAST, TAPS HAEHL
1/19/22

Big Machine Music has opened a new office in L.A. and tapped Timmy Haehl as Senior Director of Publishing.

The expansion from their Nashville-based headquarters arrives on the heels of GAYLE’s “abcdefu,”co-written by BMM’s Sara Davis, as well as Maren Morris’ 2021 BMI Pop Song of the Year “The Bones” (Laura Veltz), Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber’s “10,000 Hours” (Jessie Jo Dillon), Diplo’s “Heartless” (Ryan Hurd) and Alicia Keys & Brandi Carlile’s Grammy-nominated “Beautiful Noise” (Brandy Clark).

“Between Big Machine Music’s crossover hits, the growth of our roster to include LA-based songwriters and our inter-company collaborations with SB Projects, it is a natural move for us to formally open a West Coast office, and Timmy is the perfect creative publishing executive with which to start,” said BMM’s GM Mike Molinar.

Beginning his career at Geffen Records in A&R, Seattle native Haehl will assist with Pop songwriter signings and rep the roster for multi-genre opportunities. Based in the new Santa Monica office, he reports to BMM’s VP of Publishing Alex Heddle and Molinar.

Most recently, the Harvard alum served as Director of A&R and Management at Hallwood Media with clients like David Stewart, rock producer Brendan O’Brien and Grammy-nominated producer/writer King Henry, the latter of whom Haehl will continue to rep.

“Timmy exhibits every bit of Big Machine Music’s values and vision for the future,” adds Heddle. “His passion for developing and promoting creatives is palpable. We are very excited to have him join our team.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Big Machine Music and help bring Nashville’s top independent publisher into a new era of success within the LA creative community,” said Haehl.
