SESAC HONORS BOYER, KEIM, WARNER CHAPPELL
11/18/24

SESAC Performing Rights kicked off CMA Awards Week on Sunday night by rolling into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for its annual Nashville Music Awards.

The PRO named Jaron Boyer Songwriter of the Year on the strength of the smash hits “Let Your Boys Be Country,” recorded by Jason Aldean and “Mind On You,” which charted for George Birge. Song of the Year went to the #1 “Pretty Little Poison,” penned by Jared Keim, and recorded by Warren Zeiders.

Megan Moroney, who is up for three CMA Awards at this year’s ceremony, went home with SESAC’s Spotlight Award. She also performed at the gala, as did Keim and Zeiders, who delivered a version of “Pretty Little Poison,” joined by co-writer Ryan Beaver.

Warner Chappell Music, whose clients picked up several awards on the evening, was named Publisher of the Year. The celebration was hosted by SVP, head of Nashville creative Shannan Hatch, alongside senior directors, creative services, ET Brown and Lydia Cahill, all of whom were relieved that HITS didn’t call to ask if the invitation was really in the mail.
