MOANA 2 EYES BOX OFFICE TSUNAMI
11/26/24

The cast and crew behind Moana 2 celebrated the Walt Disney Animation Studio film's upcoming release with premieres in both Australia and New Zealand this week.

The sequel to 2016's Moana reunites Moana (voiced by Auli‘i Cravalho) and Maui (voiced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) for an all-new adventure. The film hits theaters nationwide on Wednesday (11/27) and is expected to fetch boffo numbers at the box office. Globally, it's looking at a launch total of $225m.

Moana 2 features music by Grammy-winning singer-songwriters Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nom Opetaia Foa‘i and 3x-Grammy winner Mark Mancina, who are certainly better singers than we are. Pictured bracing themselves for one of our glass-shattering high notes are (l-r) Temuera Morrison (voice of Chief Tui), Rachel House (voice of Gramma Tala), David Fane (voice of Kele), Awhimai Fraser (voice of Matangi) and Foa‘i.
