"There’s something to be said about the power of music in difficult times," says Warner Chappell's Global Synchronizaton Leader, Rich Robinson. "As people around the globe cope with being isolated from family and loved ones, we’re fielding more sync requests for songs about hope and assurance."
He points to a spot from Virgin Media UK (“Keep Your Head Up” by Ben Howard) that shows how people are making the best of the situation, as well as T-Mobile’s “Making Big Moves” (featuring “Something Human” by Muse). "We’re also receiving requests for upbeat songs to praise first responders," Rich adds, indicating public-service ads like Tylenol’s “Stay Home” (“Home” by Greg Holden and Drew Pearson; originally by Phillip Phillips).
He also points to a rise in requests for songs to go in ads about daily tasks, such as SoFi's “Members Get Their Money Right: No. 1 Source of Stress” (“Express Yourself” by Labrinth).
