SPOTIFY GOES BAPE-SH*T

Spotify and THE BATHING APE (BAPE) streetwear brand have teamed up for a new merch line. The initial drop includes BAPE’s signature Shark Hoodie and College Tee, both staples in global streetwear for more than 20 years. But this time, the Spotify logo is infused with BAPE’s camouflage design.

“BAPE’s rich heritage in music makes them an ideal partner for Spotify to celebrate the artists and fans who drive music and streetwear culture forward," Spotify VP of Partnerships and Marketing Marc Hazan said. "Our first joint project together aims to do just that in ways that fans haven’t seen before."

The limited edition Shark Hoodie will be available at the BAPE shop in Los Angeles beginning 11/2. To coincide with the drop, BAPE is temporarily redesigning the cover of Spotify’s hip-hop playlist, RapCaviar, featuring GloRilla.

Billboard ads will also pop up across the U.S. and U.K. that feature exclusive designs from the Spotify and BAPE partnership. But wait! That's not all. As part of Spotify’s partnership with FC Barcelona, the LED screens during Barça’s match against Sevilla on 10/20 will highlight designs from the collab.

Check out the Rap Caviar playlist below while we we're reminded just how uncool we really are.
