As promised, Eminem released the first single from his forthcoming album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), on Friday (5/31). The track was accompanied by a comic book-themed video that features some familiar faces from Em's past (and present), including manager Paul Rosenberg, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Alchemist, Interscope co-founder Jimmy Iovine and 50 Cent.
The forthcoming set, Eminem's 12th, is expected to arrive this summer via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. Until then, watch "Houdini" below while we count how many times Em clowns Rosenberg.
Eminem is gearing up for his first new album in four years; lead single "Houdini" dropped 5/31 via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. In a teaser featuring magician David Blaine, Em vowed to make his "career disappear."
"Houdini" is the first taste of his forthcoming album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), which serves as Mathers' 12th full-length. The follow-up to 2020's Music To Be Murdered By is expected in "summer 2024," according to Em's previous announcements.
Before the video below, Eminem began teasing content about The Death of Slim Shady during the NFL draft, which took place in his hometown of Detroit, and with Slim Shady obituaries in the Detroit Free Press and Los Angeles Times.
We are looking forward to a Slim Shady eulogy from Steve Berman.
