SURF'S OP

At the world premiere of documentary film The Beach Boys at Hollywood’s storied Chinese Theatre, the following people posed for an elegant photo before playing piano in a sandbox (l-r): LoyalT Management’s Rich Cohen, Giant Music’s Kaylie Jacobs and Matt LaMotte, artist Stephen Sanchez, Giant’s Nate Albert, songwriters Amy Allen and Dan Nigro (who co-wrote Sanchez’s “Baby Blue Bathing Suit,” which appears on the film’s Capitol/UMe soundtrack), Giant’s Cecille Crisostomo and LoyalT’s Henry Brown. By the by, Beach Boys visionary Brian Wilson has noted that Sanchez “has the chops,” praising the “great vocal” on “Bathing Suit” and its “Beach Boys vibe.” The doc is airing now on Disney+. In related news, Bruce Resnikoff recently sang a five-part harmony with himself.
