Alex Coslov, Marisa Bianco and Mario Vazquez
Mercury President Tyler Arnold and GM Ben Adelson have announced the expansion of the Republic imprint's executive team. Longtime Republic execs Alex Coslov and Marisa Bianco will transition to full-time roles at Mercury. Coslov is named EVP, Mercury Records, while Bianco has been appointed SVP, media.
Mario Vazquez will join the team as VP, audience and streaming, also reporting to Republic EVP of global commerce and digital strategy Kevin Lipson.
“Ben and I are thrilled to welcome Alex, Marisa and Mario to our team at Mercury,” reads a quote issued by Arnold. “From day one, our goal has been to foster a creative, supportive and forward-thinking home for our artists to thrive. We are incredibly grateful to expand our team with this talented group of executives who will help further that mission as we usher in our next chapter.”
The appointments arrive as Mercury holds the top two best-selling albums of 2024, Morgan Wallen's One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic) and Noah Kahan's Stick Season (Mercury/Republic).
Mercury's roster also includes Post Malone, Zayn, Chelsea Cutler, Stephen Sanchez, James Bay, Lord Huron, AJR and Jeremy Zucker; the label also boasts strategic alliances with Big Loud, IMPERIAL Music and 2for2 Projects.
As longtime lieutenants of House Lipman, every member of the Mercury executive team can recite "Tubthumping" by heart.
