NOISEMAKERS: RAISING THE BAR

In our latest roundup, we present eight rising professionals from various parts of the biz whose dedication and effort make their superiors look good.

This week's entrants will also find their faces in our latest mag, which could make for a great (or dismal) conversation during Grammy week.

Stephanie Aristakesian
Agent, Wasserman Music

Since inking Disco Lines in 2022, Aristakesian has booked him on two sold-out tours and in 2023 alone, 20 festivals. She had Omar Apollo—who’s scored campaigns for lifestyle brands Loewe and Youth to the People—on SZA’s arena outing last spring. Up next: DL’s residency at Wynn Las Vegas, OA’s international festival run, Elderbrook’s Red Rocks headlining gig, road shows for Nicky Youre, ALLEYCVT and AYYBO and work with Aussie Pretty Girl and Kiwi 33 Below. While at USC, Aristakesian booked Diplo—then had to chase him down for her charger. People tend to chase us away.

Tyler Eilenberg

Director, Creative Innovation, Republic

After weeks of planning, Eilenberg got to witness the “beautiful moment” last July when Post Malone emerged from the TSX billboard in Times Square to perform for thousands of fans. Eilenberg has lately been all about artificial intelligence and what it means for the creative community. He and his team are using the technology to release one of the label’s platinum songs in multiple languages. In his spare time, this innovator writes poetry and is planning to publish his first book this year. We’ve been banned from the release party well in advance.

Lysa Cardenas

Global Music Program Manager, TikTok

Cardenas worked on TikTok in the Mix, the platform’s first concert, which starred Cardi B, Peso Pluma, Anitta, Niall Horan and Charlie Puth and attracted 34m+ viewers to TikTok LIVE and 17,000 attendees IRL―(including her mom). Among other endeavors, the programming ace is developing the Latin-music spotlight #Rompiendo. It’s featured Daddy Yankee, Yahritza y Su Esencia, Feid, Camilo and Maria Becerra and in 2023 generated 16.6m+ views. Cardenas nearly ditched music for culinary school. Most people wish we’d quit. Not that our cooking’s any better.

Noah Simon

Global Music Agent, UTA

Simon has been thanked by Jacob Collier at the Grammys and learned a Buddhist chant from Herbie Hancock and Swedish pickup lines from Quincy Jones. He’s now launching a global campaign for the fourth edition of Collier’s DJesse (Interscope/Decca), due 2/29, and will bring the artist’s live show to Radio City Music Hall, the Greek Theatre, O2 Arena and other venues. He’s also handling live plans for artists like The Kid LAROI, Masego, Snoh Aalegra, Teezo Touchdown and Cimafunk. Simon recently ran his first marathon in NYC. If only he could run from this.

Claudia Schumann

Director, Artist Management & Strategy, S10 Entertainment

Schumann will never forget when, after a steady climb, S10 artist Myke Towers’ “LALA” hit #1 on Spotify global. The longest-running #1 Latin solo track on the platform, it’s now sextuple platinum, with 3.5b+ streams across DSPs and 12m+ TikTok videos. She’s presently working with Towers on his feature-rich Q2 album, world tour, streaming strategy for latest hit “LA FALDA” and, with his creative team, Nissan-sponsored pre-Super Bowl performance on Univision. Schumann is fluent in four languages (English, German, French and Spanish), which is four more than us.

Tom Phillips

Director, Marketing, 10K Projects

During a three-week trip with 10K Projects’ iann dior last year, Phillips joined him onstage in front of 35k fans, ate some of “the best sushi in the world” and caked someone in the audience at a Steve Aoki show. This year he’s focused on spreading the word about emerging artists Rich Amiri and YTB Fatt, promoting the next moves of Ice Spice and Trippie Redd and finding creative ways to develop 10K’s catalog. In 2022 Phillips crowd-surfed to the stage at Coachella and got to play guitar with punk act Skegss. People generally want to crowd-surf away from us.

Amy Zaglauer

VP, Brand Management, Bravado

After their Saturday Night Live performance, Zaglauer partied with twenty one pilots until 8:00 in the morning. The self-described foodie also got to hang out with chef Eric Ripert while dining with Young the Giant at New York’s famed Le Bernardin. More recently she’s been working on Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming world tour and building on new music by Ariana Grande ahead of her eternal sunshine, due 3/8. Zaglauer broke up with her identical twin sister’s boyfriends for her until the two were 19. To return the favor, she could send her sister to deal with us.

Felipe Favela

CEO/Founder, Boom.Records

Favela has managed dance artist Austin Millz since 2019, booking him at the Miami Grand Prix and helping produce his takeover of the first official Spotify x Boiler Room playlist for his headlining show in Brooklyn. He’s also inked acts like Darci, JELEEL!, Paul Russell, Frex and Chandler Leighton early in their careers. Today he’s working on Millz’s 2024 tour, building imprints with brands like Beat Stars and preparing for new albums by Darci, Leighton and Nate Traveller. Favela was a pro video-gamer at the age of 15. We’re still learning how to use the VCR.
