Todd Moscowitz’s Santa Anna Label Group has struck a partnership and distribution agreement with the trend-setting Louisiana label Trill Entertainment.
Mel Vernell Jr. and Marcus “Turk” Roach founded Trill in 2001 in Baton Rouge. The label rose to prominence with such acts as Boosie Badazz, Webbie, Foxx, Lil Phat and Lil Trill. Its latest signing is Tre Savage.
“Just as Mel and Turk were at the forefront of music back in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and exerted their influence over hip-hop culture from 2005 on, they continue to bring their expertise and excellence to Trill Entertainment,” said Moscowitz, founder of Santa Anna. “I look forward to reconnecting with this dynamic pair to support their catalog business and grow and develop their current roster of artists.”
Said Roach, “We’ve seen firsthand what this team is capable of and know the great opportunities that lie ahead for our business and creators."
