With the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar just days away, Nicki Minaj, Maluma and the Lebanese singer Myriam Fares have joined forces for the soundtrack entry “Tukoh Taka," released via Universal Arabic Music/UMG/ Republic.
The song is the official anthem of the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha, where Maluma and Fares will perform it live for the first time during the opening ceremony tomorrow (11/19). It's also the first FIFA track with English, Spanish and Arabic lyrics.
“I always dreamed of an opportunity like this," said Maluma. "Representing Latin music on this global track alongside amazing artists who sing in English and Arabic takes our culture to another level."
Added Fares, “I’m so happy to have been chosen by FIFA and Universal Arabic Music and to be represented by Sal Slaiby and Republic Records in performing 'Tukoh Taka.' I hope the song transmits Eastern culture and Arabian music to the whole world.”
"Tukoh Taka" was produced by Gordo, Play-N-Skillz and Massari and A&R'd by Donny “Dizzy Clean Face” Flores.
