Things are heating up for Aaron Bay-Schuck and Tom Corson's Warner Records as the company heads into summer on a hot streak. Chart-toppers from Joji and Kate Bush—currently #1 and #2 at Spotify U.S.—have ignited the label, which has seen breakouts in the first half of 2022 with The Walters, Zach Bryan and Anitta.
Bush's "Running Up That Hill" appears to be the year's biggest viral resurgence thanks to its vital role in the new season of Netflix's Stranger Things. The track was the most-streamed song last week and is now exploding at radio at multiple formats.
Warner scored its latest homer over the weekend with Joji's "Glimpse of Us" (88rising), a piano ballad that outperformed pop heavyweights upon its debut at the DSPs. Joji's first #1 single, its currently topping Spot U.S. as global numbers continue to grow. "Glimpse" hits Pop radio next week.
The new action builds on the momentum of Zach Bryan's record-setting debut, American Heartbreak, The Walters' smash "I Love You So" and Anitta's global breakthrough, "Envolver."
