TUNECORE TUNES UP PRICING PLAN

TuneCore—a division of global digital music company Believe—has unveiled its new Unlimited Release Pricing Plans. Announced by TuneCore CEO, Andreea Gleeson, the new program enables independent artists to distribute an uncapped amount of music to DSPs each year for a single annual price.

“We’ve spent a year speaking directly to artists and labels about how we can make our service better for them,” said Gleeson. “What emerged is: artists want to be able to test their new music for free before distributing to all services and they want to release the music they are creating instantly, regularly, and seamlessly with one annual subscription enabling unlimited music distribution.”

“It is exciting to see that TuneCore values its artists enough to give them the freedom of consistent creation, and I truly believe that this will change the face of the music industry,” added TuneCore artist Papoose.

The new unlimited pricing includes four different plans, including the New Artist Plan (free), the Rising Artist Plan ($14.99 per year), the Breakout Artist Plan ($29.99 per year) and the Professional Plan ($49.99 per year).

The New Artist Plan offers artists unlimited releases to the music libraries of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube (including Shorts, Content ID and access to YouTube’s Official Artist Channel), and pays artists 80% of what is collected on the platforms while keeping the other 20%.

The Rising Artist Plan features unlimited distribution to 150+ streaming services as well as social media platform libraries. The plan also provides artists 100% of the revenue and includes access to pre-schedule all release dates, verification on Spotify and Apple Music as well as a 72-hour artist support response time from TuneCore.

The Breakout Artist Plan offers every service included in the previous plans, plus free access to Tunecore’s “Automator” feature—which automatically distributes releases to all streaming and digital stores that will be available in the future—as well as downloadable reporting and artist support response time within 48 hours.

The Professional Plan includes everything from the previous plans and offers premium sales reporting, use of your own UPC and a custom label name, access to select country restrictions, exclusive partnerships and promotional opportunities. It also allows additional artist profiles (for $14.99/artist per year) and the fastest artist support response time, within 24 hours.
