VIS À VIS VEAZEY

Caron Veazey, Founder/CEO of Something in Common and Co-Founder/Vice Chair of the Black Music Action Coalition, will serve as the chair of the first Global Music Council for Splice. The strategic advisory board consists of artist entrepreneurs, activists and experts in major music territories and aims to support creators around the world.

Veazey and fellow council members will identify trends and opportunities to help under-represented creators on a global scale. The GMC will also advise on advancements for Splice’s music education and collaboration products as well as cultural trends to shape Splice Sounds, a library of 2m+ pre-cleared samples.

“The Council is a rich group of dynamic voices who will identify innovative opportunities and partnerships around the world. We’re all fans of the work Splice is doing to advance freedom for creators everywhere, and this team will bring a creator perspective to the work they are already doing,” said Veazey.

In addition to Veazey, the GMC will include musicians Imogen Heap and Mr Eazi, as well as Hussain Spek’ Yoosuf, Founder of PopArabia and Middle Eastern PRO ESMAA; Mathew Daniel, DJ and VP International of NetEase Cloud Music; Ebonie Smith, Atlantic Studios Lead Engineer and Gender Amplified Founder; and Sebastian Krys, 2x Latin Grammy Producer of the Year, Founder and President/CEO of Rebeleon Entertainment.

The council will report to Chief Music Officer Maria Egan as well as CEO/Co-Founder Steve Martocci, GM/CMO Dan Zaccagnino and board member Matt Pincus.
