STORIES ONLY THEY COULD TELL

Gary Clark Jr., Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and Sting are among the artists lined up to tell their stories through the Words + Music series from Audible and Van Toffler’s Gunpowder & Sky.

Debuting this spring are: Sting: Upon Reflection (3/25); Yo-Yo Ma: Beginner’s Mind (4/8); Billie Joe Armstrong: Welcome To My Panic (4/22); Gary Clark Jr.: Words + Music (5/20); Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter: 7 Years (6/3); and Sleater-Kinney: Words + Music (6/17).

The new collection follows the successful launch of the series that included readings from Patti Smith, Alanis Morissette and James Taylor.

“Audible’s ‘Words + Music’ programming has exceeded our expectations in so many ways and we are just getting started,” said Rachel Ghiazza, Executive Vice President, Head of U.S. Content at Audible. “These extraordinary musicians have always had a special connection with their fans through their music. By weaving narrative storytelling into their work, they are creating truly unparalleled stories for our listeners.”
