GibsonTV and host Mark Agnesi recently debuted the Epiphone Guitar Giveaway Of The Day World Tour and with the help of partners including Andertons Music, Rolling Stone, Max Guitar, Australis, Woodbrass and Thomann, 28 new guitars including the Les Paul Muse, Les Paul Classic, Gibson SG Muse, SG Standard and more from the new Epiphone Inspired by Gibson and Epiphone Original collection were given to fans that tuned in across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Netherlands, France, Germany, Australia and the U.K.
Additionally, April marked the launch of the month-long Gibson Gives auction for the Rig For Relief. By partnering with Marshall Amplification, Universal Audio, Fulltone, SoloDallas, R2R, Christian Benner and Dunlop & MXR Pedals to create an eight-piece music rig, the 501c3 charitable foundation of raised $52k+ across 1.8k individual donations, doubling the original $25k goal, and is donating all proceeds to the MusiCares Covid-19 Relief Fund.
“I expected that we would raise a substantial amount of money through the Rig For Relief, but I was absolutely blown away by the response and generosity of our viewers,” says Agnesi, who is also the Director of Brand Experience at Gibson. Elizabeth Heidt, Director of Entertainment Relations, adds, "We are thrilled to be able to support the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund for the artist community.”
