SAY HELLO TO
SAM FISCHER

Australian artist Sam Fischer has a hit on his hands with “This City,” which is blowing up in Blighty where he’s signed to RCA, while his U.S. team—led by Peter Edge—has him earmarked as a major priority act. Ahead of his appearance on The Late Late Show next week, here’s what you need to know.

Fischer, who resides in L.A. and is managed by Brad Beausir, currently has more than 135m streams worldwide and over 150k sales. “This City” reached #35 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart with no radio airplay, and has since moved up to #31 with widespread support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Capital, Radio 2 and Bauer. So far this week, the track sits at #31 on Radiomonitor’s Top 40 airplay chart.

RCA U.K. boss David Dollimore signed Fischer after hearing “This City” and having a "raw and visceral connection" to the song and the artist, whom he believes has the potential to be a global star. “It's been an incredible journey so far and I am delighted to see the brilliant results the team are delivering week on week, and not just here in the U.K. The ambition of Pete Edge and his team in the US mirrors mine, their commitment and drive toward Sam has been exceptional and they are doing an outstanding job,” Dollimore said.

Expect new singles and an EP this year, and lots more to come. Dollimore continues: “The future potential for Sam is limitless, he has already created a global footprint with only his first release, he has a dedicated growing audience and is connecting during uncertain times. Myself and the team are excited to be a part of his journey, there are many more great songs we are yet to release, this is just the beginning.”
