WHAT IT IS: This 18-year-old pop and R&B artist has lived through some extraordinary circumstances. Raised in Inglewood, CA, Anthony endured much hardship after his parents’ divorce. At 11, he told his mother he wanted to sing, and that he would take care of the family and end their struggles. Influenced by Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Usher and Michael Jackson, his dedication to singing and performing paid off as he began to garner an organic buzz around L.A., gaining the attention of record industry veteran Garnett March (The Chemists Founder and EVP at Global). He’s recording his debut album with such award-winning writers and producers as Da Internz, LaShawn Daniels and The Underdogs.
