WHAT IT IS: The guitar-wielding duo of Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis are the first signing to CMG’s newly christened I.R.S. Nashville. While their debut album fits in with today’s commercial country scene, it also stands out from the rest of the pack with its driving rhythms and simple yet artful production. Helmed by super-producer T Bone Burnett, the album showcases the compelling harmonies, honest lyrics and innovative guitar playing that makes them such a compelling live act.
