Billy Mann is coming off a killer year. Having scored a number of hits via his own Green & Bloom/Topline JV with BMG and earning kudos himself as a co-writer on P!nk’s Grammy-nominated set Beautiful Trauma (among other projects), he was also tapped to oversee Red Bull’s new pub division, Red Bull Songs.

In its first few months of existence, the new entity—which has offices on both coasts—made significant moves in the hip-hop space, signing such writers as TWhy Xclusive (Drake, Meek Mill, Swae Lee), K-So (Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross), Bixtel (Lil Yachty, Ayo & Teo) and more, not to mention a number of developing artists. He also filled out his team, tapping Liz Baylog as Head of Creative and Benton James as Head of Urban, among others. An international admin deal with Kobalt is in the offing, not to mention a partnership with sync house Secret Road.

All this comes alongside successes on the Green & Bloom/Topline front from writers/producers like Supah Mario (Drake, Swae Lee), Flawless (Rick Ross) and Mitchy Collins/Christian Medice (#1 Alternative breakout lovelytheband). The pubco has also earned cuts with 5 Seconds of Summer, Halsey, John Legend, David Guetta and many more. Recent signings include Dani Poppitt (Zara Larsson) and Tony nominee Condola Rashad.

Also, Billy is a major mensch. Just saying.

Seen just before drinking so much Red Bull they were ready to write an opera are (l-r) DJ Paul, Mann, TWhy Xclusive, Baylog, Christian Barker, Esq., and James.
