Pollstar has confirmed something with its year-end figures that fans learned on their own in 2024: Taylor Swift and Coldplay rule the live-music biz. Both shattered touring records this year.
Swift outdid herself with the continued dominance of her 149-date Eras Tour, which thundered to a close on 12/8 with a gross of $2.2b, making it the first tour to top the $2b mark, having added another $1.04b to Tay's Eras haul from 2023, when she became the first artist to top $1 billion in a single year.
Coldplay, meanwhile, broke the all-time attendance record with its Music of the Spheres Tour, which played to 10.3m people and grossed $1.3b—a total exceeded only by Swift. The Atlantic band figures to add considerably to that tally in 2025, when the tour returns to the road for 48 more dates.
Pollstar’s worldwide touring Top 5 is rounded out by P!nk, with a $367m gross, Luis Miguel with $262m and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band with $251m.
