The Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown is one of the most highly anticipated music flicks in recent memory, and both critics and audiences are saying it’s worth the wait—particularly Timothée Chalamet’s performance in the lead role.
Chalamet has been getting kudos for doing his own singing in the film, a production of Veritas Entertainment Group, The Picture Company and Range Media Partners distributed by Searchlight Pictures.
In a rave review, The Observer called A Complete Unknown “a thrilling, entertaining journey” and said, “Timothée Chalamet looks, acts, even sings like Bob Dylan," elaborating, "But director James Mangold treats Dylan as a mythical figure rather than a person, leaving his mystery intact.”
The Guardian added to the chorus, calling Chalamet “an electric revelation” and praising his “hilarious and seductive portrayal of Bob Dylan.”
A Complete Unknown hits theaters on 12/25.
