A YEAR WITH PULSE

PULSE Music Group is toasting a banner year. Co-CEOs Josh Abraham and Scott Cutler added an auspicious debut for their record label to the pubco's ongoing success, fielding multiple hits—spearheaded by Tommy Richman’s multi-format smash, “MILLION DOLLAR BABY.” (Abraham, Cutler and Richman are pictured in the exciting animated .gif presented here.)

The quadruple-platinum smash, which is closing in on 1 billion global Spotify streams, was the longest-running #1 song on the TikTok Top 50 (10 weeks) and ranked #1 on the DSP's Global Top 200. It also hit #1 in six countries, was Top 5 in on-demand and digital song consumption on Luminate's 2024 mid-year music report and was named TikTok's #1 U.S. track and #4 global song for 2024. The song was also a powerhouse at radio, dominating the Pop, Rhythm and Urban charts.

Other airplay chart-toppers on PULSE's thriving publishing side include Flo Milli’s “Never Lose Me” at Rhythm, Chris Brown’s "Residuals" at Rhythm and Urban, plus Brown’s “Sensational” f/Davido & Lojay, Cardi B’s "Enough (Miami)" and Drake’s “You Broke My Heart” at Urban.

At the top of the year, PULSE's publishing roster also secured a Record of the Year Grammy with Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” which was co-produced by client Tyler Johnson and co-written by client Aldae. Miley's floral giant, the longest-charting song in AC radio history (72 weeks), was also the International Song of the Year at the BRIT Awards and Song of the Year at the BMI Awards.

The company’s clients have netted 41 noms for the 2025 Grammys; these hopefuls include KAYTRANADA, Ty Dolla $ign, Rich the Kid, Kehlani, Sierra Ferrell, Charley Crockett, Jack Rochon, Ryan Beatty and FNZ.

Among other publishing highlights this year, PULSE earned 10 BMI and two SESAC song awards, saw two RIAA Diamond certifications, while three tracks joined Spotify’s Billions Club, including “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” and Harry Styles' "As It Was"co-written and produced by Johnson—which become the fourth-most streamed song in Spotify history (3.6b streams).

To mark these milestones, celebratory bottles of avocado-infused kombucha flowed.
