COLUMBIA'S HORSES
ARE CHARGING

Columbia is now officially hot.

Ron Perry would love to stay and tell you about it, but he’s waiting for the Postmates guy to bring the dog biscuits for Ms. Larry David. So we’ll do it.

Leading the charge is streaming monster Lil Nas X, whose “Old Town Road” is ruling the world and atop both Spotify U.S./Apple Music and iTunes charts with its original version and a Billy Ray Cyrus remix (which is #2 Spotify Global). Meanwhile, the new Halsey-enhanced BTS track, “Boy With Luv,” is Top 5 Spotify U.S. and Global, and both the track and the EP on which it appears, MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, are selling ahead of the K-Pop kids’ #1 bow on our Top 50 chart.

Matter of fact, the label currently has the #1, #3 and #5 U.S. streaming songs, the #2, #3 and #4 global streaming tracks, the #1, #3 and #6-selling songs and the #1, #3, #4 and #8 albums.

The label is also demonstrating radio heat, with “Old Town Road” already #17 at Pop at #11 at Rhythm, the “Boy With Luv” #31 at Pop and flying, both on the heels of Chainsmokers/5 Seconds of Summer at #12 and Lil Peep & ILoveMakonnen f/Fall Out Boy at #14. At Alternative, Vampire Weekend is #8 and Dominic Fike is #32; Polo G, a strong streaming entry, is #43 Rhythm. Jim Burruss and team have got the horses in the back.

Beyoncé’s live album capturing her storied Coachella 2018 perf is out now and #1 at iTunes—with a Netflix doc spiking the convo—and a star-studded Game of Thrones “inspired by” set is on deck, with a Weeknd-SZA-Travis Scott single dropping on 4/18.
