Kenny MacPherson’s Big Deal Music Group will receive the 2017 Indie Publisher of the Year award from the Association of Independent Music Publishers' Los Angeles chapter, one of three blow-out bashes celebrating AIMP’s 40th anniversary.
The L.A. bash will be held 12/7 at Candela La Brea and will feature a Special Individual Award presentation to NMPA President/CEO David Israelite. Anthony Fedorov, Anthea Neri and EDM duo Loud Luxury will perform.
“Big Deal Music Group is a fantastic example of the vibrancy of the indie music publishing sector, and we are thrilled that we can honor Kenny MacPherson and his team,” said AIMP President Michael Eames of PEN Music Group.
Prior to the L.A. gala, AIMP holds a Nashville celebration at the Sutler Saloon on 11/15 and a New York shindig on 12/4 at The Princeton Club.
The Music City gathering looks back on such accomplishments as the AIMP Nashville Awards, the third annual Songwriter Series, the "Inside Scoop From Music Sups" and more. The New York event will celebrate the prior presentation of 2017 New York Chapter Indie Awards to Rep. Jerrold Nadler and Downtown Music Publishing CEO Justin Kalifowitz.
Team Big Deal is already celebrating the honor with a hearty Beaujolais and a plate of yummy haggis.
