Sony/ATV has upped Tyler Childs (L) to VP, Creative and Lou Al-Chamaa (R) to Senior Director, Creative. Based in L.A., they will both report to the pubco's U.S. Co-President Rick Krim.
Childs has been on the Sony/ATV team since 2012 and was responsible for the signings of Mercury Prize winner James Blake, hit-making group Walk the Moon and others. He's also the founder of management company Quality CTRL, which houses an array of artists/writers, including Jack Antonoff. Previously, Childs worked at Constant Artists.
Al-Chamma has been on board since 2014 and has worked with the likes of Mike Posner and songwriters Brett McLaughlin (Troye Sivan, Daya), Ben Abraham (Sara Bareilles, Kesha, Shawn Mendes) and Cara Salimando (Grace, Wiz Khalifa, Dua Lipa). His prior experience included gigs at Sony Music and LAMM Music Management.
“Tyler and Lou are both integral parts of the LA A&R team and these promotions reflect the superb work they have been doing," shared Krim. "We look forward to even greater things from them in the future.”
