Like the old saying goes, when a headphone jack is closed (as is the case with the new iPhone 7), a wireless opportunity opens. Or at least that’s what we’ve been told by Beats, who will expand their portfolio with the introduction of cordless earphones and headphones.
BeatsX is a new line of lightweight earphones that are battery efficient: Five minutes of charging provides two hours of playback and 45 minutes of charging can deliver eight hours. They’ll be available in the fall.
Powerbeats3 Wireless boast improved ergonomics and sound experience; fully charged, they last up to 12 hours.
Beats Solo3 Wireless is the latest in the Solo line of headphones. The new product provides up to 40 hours of battery life; the earcup controls let users take calls, play music and activate Siri. They are now available for preorder.
Of course, if you just want to plug in your old wired headphones, you can take that up with Tim Cook.
