RADIOHEAD ROCKETS TO #1 IN THE U.K.

Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool (XL), notable in its absence from Spotify, becomes the British band's sixth U.K. #1 album with first week combined sales of 50k.

Grime has had somewhat of a resurgence of late in Blighty thanks to acts like Stormzy and Skepta coming to the fore, the latter of which has hit #2 on the Official Albums Chart this week with their fourth album Konnichiwa (Boy Better Know).

Elsewhere on albums chart, three more Spotify hold-outs make up the Top 5: Beyoncé’s Lemonade (Columbia) is down to #3; Drake’s Views (Island) is down to #4 from its #1 spot last week; and Gregory Porter’s Take Me To The Alley (Blue Note) is new at #5.

Spotify is, however, helping drive The Stone Roses' comeback single “All For One” (Virgin EMI). Their first new music for 21 years was released at 8pm BST Thursday (5/12) and notched 107k streams. It is currently #1 on iTunes and #49 on Spotify’s United Kingdom Top 50. Will it be #1 on the Official Singles Chart in a week?

This week’s #1 is Drake’s “One Dance,” its fifth in the top spot. It fights off strong competition from Calvin Harris, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake, who will surely join him in the biggest selling singles list of 2016. “One Dance” boasts 124k combined chart sales this week, including 8.37m streams, and has been certified Platinum with more than 600k chart sales to date.

Calvin Harris and Ri-Ri’s “This Is What You Came For” (Columbia) is at #2 while JT is new at #3 with “Can’t Stop The Feeling” (RCA). Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” (Monkey Puzzle/RCA) is at #4 and Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” (Island) is at #5.
