WHAT IT IS: With the TikTok-assisted viral explosion of “Love Songs”—which currently has 12m+ videos and counting—and the momentum from her sincere debut project, Parked Car Convos, success for 19-year old Kaash Paige has come quickly. Kaash stands for “Kill All Arrogance Stop Hatred” which coincides with the Dallas-native’s brand of woozy, ethereal, alt-R&B music that started while she was still a sophomore in high school and posting tracks to SoundCloud. The rising star then delivered “Love Songs,” which spent six weeks at the top of Spotify’s global viral chart, prior to her graduation and has since received strong co-signs from the likes of Kylie Jenner, Alicia Keys and 6lack.
