Nation of Language (PIAS)

WHAT IT IS: Four years after their debut, NYC’s Nation of Language has gained an international following with their blend of new wave, post-punk and shoegaze. Their first album, Introduction, Presence, received critical acclaim, and their 2021 follow-up, A Way Forward, broadened their audience. The momentum continued with 2023’s Strange Disciple, which peaked #3 on the Top New Artist Albums chart, was the most-played album on SiriusXMU and KEXP during its release week and hit #1 on the SubModern Albums chart and #2 on Alt Nation’s Top 18.
