WHAT IT IS: Growing up in a lively San Juan neighborhood, RaiNao was immersed in music from a young age thanks to her father, a celebrated salsa band vocalist. This early exposure fostered her passion, guiding her to develop a distinctive style that fuses Latin trap and perreo, enthralling audiences with her dynamic performances. At 29, she is a new force in urbano music, blending jazz, R&B and alternative-pop with reggaeton to create a sound uniquely her own. Since her 2022 debut EP, ahora A.K.A. NAO, she’s been unstoppable. Nao dropped her latest offering, CAPICÚ, on 2/24, and shows no signs of slowing down.
