WHAT IT IS: L.A.-based People R Ugly skillfully blend genres, seamlessly combining alternative rock and pop punk with elements of hyper-pop. Since their inception about two years ago, they’ve played 30+ shows throughout SoCal, selling out venues like the Troubadour, Whisky, Peppermint Club, Viper Room and Emo Nite at The Avalon. Following their first tour, a performance at iHeart Z100’s Jingle Ball in NYC, and the release of their single “BRAIN DEAD,” the band is on track to have big 2024, including the release of fan favorite “Church on TV,” which will arrive alongside a music video on 2/16.
