WHAT IT IS: Rapidly rising Bronx, NY spitter Connie Diiamond has racked nearly 3m plays on Instagram for her viral performance of “Ghetto & Ratchet.” Rapping since the age of 14, the breakout artist dropped her debut project, Underdog Szn, in May, flexing her unapologetic sound, raucous wordplay and hard-hitting hooks. She was joined by Don Q, Dame D.O.L.L.A. and KenTheMan for her single, “Move (Remix).” Diiamond appears alongside an all-star lineup of female MCs on the official Rap Sh!t Season 2 soundtrack, released this month from Issa Rae’s Raedio/Def Jam.
