WHAT IT IS: Seoul-based Balming Tiger is a multinational collective comprising artists Omega Sapien, sogumm, bj wnjn and Mudd the student; producers San Yawn, Leesuho and Unsinkable, DJ Abyss; filmmaker Jan’ Qui; visual artist/art director Chanhee Hong; and editor Henson Hwang. The 11 creatives expand K-pop parameters with their globally relatable sonics and distinctive visuals. Showcasing the richness of Asian culture, the collective blends hip-hop, alt-rock and electronic elements while drawing inspiration from a wider spectrum of influences.
