WHAT IT IS: After inking with Epic, 26-year-old R&B singer-songwriter Mariah the Scientist has delivered her new studio album, To Be Eaten Alive. The 10-track project, which follows the Atlanta native’s first three projects—Master, Ry Ry World and The Intermission, features 21 Savage, Young Thug and Vory. Mariah’s journey took her to NYC via St. John’s University, where she studied biology. Though she halted her scholastic pursuits to chase her dreams as an entertainer, the “Scientist” moniker stuck with her. As her core following continues to grow, Mariah has positioned herself to become one of R&B’s brightest young stars.
