WHAT IT IS: Songs on Lo Que No Te Dije, the debut album of Puerto-Rican singer-songwriter GALE—pronounced GAH-leh—range from “f-you” feminist punk anthems to heartbreak ballads. Rolling Stone praised the LP as a “glowing collection” and named it one of the Best Albums of 2023. She earned three Latin Grammy noms this year, including one for Best New Artist and another for co-writing Marshmello & Manuel Turizo’s “El Merengue.” GALE’s writing credits also include songs for Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Juanes, Anitta and Cardi B. Her latest single, “Nuestra Canción,” spent 12 weeks on the Latin Airplay chart, peaking at #7.
