WHAT IT IS: After exploding onto the scene in 2020 with her viral track “Pink Pony Club,” Chappell Roan created her loud and proud queer brand, which is the centerpiece of her identity and that of her upcoming debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Penned with producing partner Daniel Nigro (Olivia Rodrigo, Caroline Polachek), the album explores the Missouri native’s roller-coaster ride en route to the pop stardom she’s always dreamed of. Following her first sold-out headline tour, Roan will hit the road again this fall, this time to much larger venues; all dates are on track to sell out before summer’s end.
