Ogi (Artium)
8/4/22

WHAT IT IS: Ogi has come a long way since her grandmother serenaded her with Nigerian hymns as she was growing up in Madison, Wis. After completing her undergraduate studies at Northwestern—where she was originally on track to become a lawyer—Ogi caught the attention of PJ Morton with a cover of his track “Alright,” leading to a deal with No I.D.’s Artium, which recently released her debut EP, Monologues. The L.A.-based, 25-year-old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist’s tender yet stirring take on R&B has established her as a powerful newcomer to watch.
