WHAT IT IS: Named after the suburb of Sydney, Australia, they once called home, Seaforth have developed one of the most distinctive sounds in country music. Lifelong friends Tom Jordan and Mitch Thompson started collaborating as neighbors and former classmates, making trips to Nashville to showcase their progressive-country sound. After inking with RCA Nashville, the duo relocated to Music City. Their debut EP, Love That, and its title track made waves at Country radio, while Seaforth enlisted 2x platinum-selling Sony Music Nashville labelmate Mitchell Tenpenny for follow-up track “Anything She Says,” which earned them a gold certification. Recipients of APRA’s prestigious 2020 Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year-Nashville award, Seaforth are gearing up for a breakthrough year with their latest single, “Breakups.”
