ARRESTED YOUTH & THE QUARANTINERS
6/4/20

Ian Johnson, a.k.a. Arrested Youth, has put together a one-of-a-kind EP entitled Arrested Youth & The Quarantiners, the first fan co-written project. As the COVID-19 stay at home orders went into effect, Johnson wanted to find a unique way to interact and reach out to his fans. This sparked the start of his Quarantine Sessions, an open opportunity for fans across the world to come together and write songs.

Starting each session by producing a rough demo of music, Johnson worked with fans via Instagram and YouTube livestreams to create song concepts along with lyrics. The singer/songwriter would then create vocal melodies and put finishing production edits with his friend and producer, Kevin Thrasher Gruft.

Arrested Youth has built a cult following through his mix of alternative and hip-hop styles. Since releasing his debut album FEAR in late 2018, he’s amassed over 40m streams and locked in tour support for artists such as Yungblug, DREAMERS and The Mowgli’s.
