WHAT IT IS: The 21-year-old rapper’s transition to music began in October 2017, when he linked up with Famous Dex through his song, “Lettuce.” After receiving several label calls, he followed up with “Givenchy,” which now has more than 20m views on YouTube and is nearing 10m Spotify streams. The up-and-comer’s debut EP, Take Me Serious, dropped last March 2018, amassing 21m+ Spotify streams and counting. In April 2018, DDG showed fans his musical versatility, releasing the R&B song “Arguments,” which already has 21m+ plays on YouTube and 6m streams on Spotify.
