WHAT IT IS: The most exciting new guitar band to burst through in the U.K., Catfish and the Bottlemen are poised for a breakthrough stateside with their new single, “Soundcheck,” from their forthcoming D. Sardy-produced album, The Ride. The band’s 2014 debut album, The Balcony, is headed toward platinum status in the U.K. and earned them the 2014 BBC Music Award for Best Newcomer and, most recently, the 2016 BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act.
