WHAT IT IS: This five-piece band from Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland, is composed of Patrick Sheehy (vocals), Sorcha Durham (pianist), Dan Devine (guitar), Paul Flannery (bass) and Evan Hadnett (drums). Their album Everything This Way has been #1 for four weeks in Ireland. “Speeding Cars” was added to BBC Radio 2, moving straight into the A List. The song was also dubbed Radio 2’s Record of the Week last week, and the first three Radio 2 plays sent the track to #1 on the U.K. Shazam chart. In Germany, “Speeding Cars” is a Top 50 airplay record.
