WHAT IT IS: Andrew McMahon is no stranger to the music business, having started his career as the vocalist, pianist and primary songwriter for the bands Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin. His eponymous album produced the smash single, “Cecilia and the Satellite,” which garnered 6m+ Spotify plays and has become a Top 5 hit across both Alt and AAA radio; it’s now climbing the Hot AC charts. Aside from his professional successes, McMahon is a survivor of leukemia and founder of the Dear Jack Foundation, which advocates for and supports initiatives that benefit young adults diagnosed with cancer. Currently, McMahon is touring in support of the LP and is out on a fall co-headlining tour with New Politics.
