ONES TO WATCH: THE MOWGLI'S

Fighting the urge to bundle up in cozy blankets on a gloomy Friday night, shutterbug Samantha Hissong and I braved the frozen tundra of Los Angeles (yes, I consider 60 degrees freezing) to check out The Mowgli’s electrifying set at the Regent Theatre.

The room was buzzing with bright-eyed teenagers and twenty-something year-olds swaying their flash-tatted arms, occasionally pumping fists and singing along to every. single. word.

The crowd went especially wild for the buzzband's single, "I'm Good," off Kids In Love, their recent release through Photo Finish/Island. The septet's energy was absolutely infectious, leaving me bobbing my head each time I even think about their feel good anthem "San Francisco." Who needs a bowl of matza ball soup on a dreary night when you can have The Mowgli's?
