SONY/ATV'S "BODAK" MOMENT

Sony/ATV has inked a worldwide pub deal with Cardi B, whose “Bodak Yellow” has been one of the biggest tracks on the planet for some time now. The rapper from the Bronx remains near the top of the U.S. Spotify and Apple Music charts and “Bodak” has earned 132m+ streams on Spotify alone. It sits at #2 on our most recent Song Revenue and Streaming Songs charts.

Pubco co-prez Rick Krim hailed Cardi B as “one of a rare breed of unique artists the industry only witnesses occasionally,” while Senior Director A&R Jennifer Drake hailed her as “honest, real and refreshing.”

SATV boss Marty Bandier, meanwhile, requisitioned a box of those big cheroots everyone in the Bronx seems to be enjoying.
