Erstwhile One Directioner Niall Horan is off to a smashing start with his debut solo single (via Capitol), “This Town.” The lad launched his own pubco, NJH Publishing, and collaborated on the Greg Kurstin (Sony/ATV)-produced track with Jamie Scott, Mike Needle and Daniel Bryer of U.K. indie house Catherine Songs. In addition to selling like gangbusters, the single was #1 Most Added at Pop radio. Team Catherine, who worked with 1D as a band, also participated in the Major Lazer/Bieber smash (which company founder Scott co-wrote with SONGS’ Diplo and MØ, UMPG’s Bieber and Sony/ATV’s Ed Sheeran—it takes a village) and worked with cool kids like Tom Odell and Ady Suleiman
