PULSE Music Group has promoted 10-year veteran Kara Foley to SVP/Head of Creative Sync Licensing, a position she will fulfill from the company’s Los Angeles HQ while reporting to co-CEOs Scott Cutler and Josh Abraham.
Foley has of late curated original music for the films Candy Cane Lane and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, organized all-female and hip-hop-oriented songwriting camps and worked on the campaign surrounding the partnership between Major League Baseball and Apple TV+ to broadcast live games on Fridays.
“Collaborating with talented songwriters, producers, artists and the music supervisor community is an absolute privilege,” says Foley, who has previously worked at UMG, Island Def Jam and Warner Chappell. “Together, we help tell stories through music, making writers’ dream placements a reality and I couldn’t ask for a better career.”
Added Cutler and Abraham of Foley, “her placements have helped us to achieve double-digit growth in sync income year-to-date. Kara has impeccable relationships across the music supervisor community and she knows how to create breakthrough moments for our writers. We are pleased to recognize her efforts with this well-deserved promotion.”
