ALICIA KEYS TO RECEIVE DR. DRE GLOBAL IMPACT AWARD

Alicia Keys will receive the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award during the fourth annual Recording Academy Honors Presented by the Black Music Collective, 1/30 at L.A.'s Fairmont Century Plaza.

“From her timeless music to her unwavering dedication to uplifting others, Alicia has made an indelible impact on the world,” said Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. "She embodies everything the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award represents—her artistry knows no bounds, her advocacy inspires meaningful change and her influence has profoundly shaped the culture. We are honored to celebrate her extraordinary legacy and the transformative contributions she continues to make in music and beyond.”

Keys has won 16 Grammy Awards. She released her debut effort, Songs in A Minor, in 2001 and has since sold more than 65m albums. Her music has been streamed roughly five billion times and she's now the #1 RIAA-certified female R&B artist of the millennium. Her musical, Hell’s Kitchen, opened on Broadway in April, and her 2020 book, More Myself: A Journey, was a New York Times bestseller.
